About the School

Hallmoor School is a 4-19 Special School situated in the East of Birmingham within the Hodge Hill constituency. Our pupils come from all over Birmingham and some from neighbouring local authorities.

All our pupils at Hallmoor have a Statement of Special Educational Need or an Education and Health Care Plan. We educate children with cognition and learning needs. Children may have Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech Language and Communication Difficulties or a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Some children have additional needs including visual impairment and hearing impairment and associated behavioural difficulties.

To meet our endeavour to support these wide ranging educational and social needs, we provide a suitable curriculum, which encompasses and extends to the National Curriculum.

Our school’s curriculum model provides a natural progression from an Early Years Foundation Learning programme, towards full participation within the National Curriculum framework, with programmes designed for and implemented at an appropriate level for all our pupils.

About the Role

The role of the new Headteacher at Hallmoor School will be both challenging and rewarding in equal measure. You will strive to make the school a centre of excellence.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated professional to lead the school, working closely with the CEO and Executive Team.
